Aim: To challenge Piaget's findings by altering the method used in the conservation task.

Sample: 252 children from a variety of Devon schools and pre-schools. 4 groups - A 5yrs 3months,  B 6yrs 3months,  C 7yrs 3months,  D 8yrs 3months.
