chemoreceptors - in the muscles, aorta and arteries - detect chemical changes

proprioreceptors - in the muscles, tendons and joints - inform CCC of motor activity

baroreceptors - in the blood vessels walls - inform CCC of increase blood pressure

intrinsic: 

tempeature changes which effects blood viscosity and speed of nerve impulse  transmission which changes heart rate
