Gene: Length of DNA that codes for 1+ polypeptides.
Polypeptide: Chain of Amino Acids joined by peptide bonds.
Each Chromosome consists of one molecule of DNA, each gene is just part of a DNA molecule.
Genes code for Polypeptides such as:
- Antigens
- Collagen
- Enzymes
- Electron Carriers
- Haemoglobin
Locus: Specific place on the chromosome.
DNA Contains 4 bases: Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Cytosine (C), Guanine (G).
