Numa! We love Numa, he's a good guy. 

Numa came to power when after the 'interregnum' (in between kings, after romulus' death when the senate tried to rule rome and realised it was HARD WORK)

They chose Numa because he was a Sabine nobleman with a reputation for piety and justice, pretty much unlike every single person who ruled rome (except for marcus aurelius) after him.

Numa was married to a goddess called Egeria and she helped him rule rome. and like he wasn't like most romans and didn't 'do a zeus' on her and stayed faithful…
