Lara Croft is hypersexualised and is scantily dressed which is impractical, this is done to attract male players and a male audience to the franchise.
Lara Croft is a female heroine which is rare in the gaming industry during the time it was made, she is a strong action hero and is empowering women. This allows for a female audience to get involved with the franchise too, which previously in the franchise wasn’t majorly included.
The game is thoroughly enjoyed by both audiences with little complaints with the characters.

Lara Croft Go was released in August 2015 for Android, IOS, Windows and Windows phone devices. Later in 2016 it was released to Steam as well as a playstation 4 and a playstation viel version.
Lara Croft Go was selected for 2016 Apple design award, Apple’s 2015 iPhone game of the year, and the best mobile/handheld game at 2015 The Game Awards
The game received favourable reviews, critics praised its aesthetics, puzzle design and fidelity to the series. However, it was criticised due to its short length and disputed its degree of difficulty.

Visual appeal of the game:
Use of isometric view – adds 3D mechanics to gameplay and puzzle solving.

Use of dark and light – at key points in game provides focus on the key action (remember, this was initially a mobile game so screen size was small)

Use of colour – to differentiate between levels and intensity of action.

Quality of animation – whilst the background graphics seem ‘blocky’ the key characters are animated fluidly.

Narrative:
Lara is an explorer / adventurer on a mission to unearth ancient secrets.  Narrative is built on an exploration model through ancient jungle landscapes.  There are puzzles to solve to progress through each level.  Puzzles are based on timing certain moves, attacks and pressing switches to unlock doors and move objects.  Enemies in the form of snakes, spiders and salamanders are placed in the way. Each enemy type has a specific movement pattern. Single-use
