Environmental Impact Assessment - Studland Dunes:

The results of our EIA were put on a radar graph. The graph shows that overall the management has been partially successful. On one hand the management at Studland has managed to maintain the natural processes occurring there but on the other hand the environment is still very vulnerable to erosion. The management has mainly allowed good access to the beach however they have a short lifespan.

Dunes Transect - Studland:

The dunes transect shows that at the beginning of the profiles there were the embryo dunes which were smaller. As we got further inland there was a sand bowl where the gradient was steady until we got to the grey dunes and the gradient got steeper again. At the embryo dunes they were made mainly of sand with very little vegetation. As we got further inland to the yellow dunes there were more different types of vegetation such as heath, marram grass and black grass. As we reached the grey dunes there were more trees.
