  • Not a specific place, but wherever the King was
  • Made up of the Royal Household and courtiers (nobles and friends who attended in the hope of gaining influence and went to feasts, plays and hunts)

Gentlemen of the Bedchamber

  • These were courtiers who were allowed access to the King's private apartments
  • They waited on the King and could sometimes influence
