Henry VII

Had ties to House of Lancaster but married Elizabeth of York - created the alliance and peace between the families. Marrying Elizabeth also meant that the House of York would support him in battle against Richard III.

Tudor Rose  - A symbol made from uniting the roses of York and Lancaster. 

Henry had a precarious claim to the throne as people didn't believe he was the rightful king as he was descended from a servant. He changed his reign to the day before the Battle of Bosworth to eliminate any opposition.
