liver cancer- alcohol abuse damages the liver cells and causes scarring (cirrhosis)
jaundice- yellowing of the skin and eyes as the liver fails.

damage to the organs such as brain, liver and kidneys.
psycological effects- depression, anxiety and paranoia. some drugs suppress these symptoms so when they are stopped have adverse effects.
