• The accuracy of Information is important as it is relied on by other people further down the line. If information is not accurate, it cannot be used with confidence.

Timely Manner

• This is whether the information has been received in time for it to be of value and use

How Achieved

• Accuracy is achieved by validation, verification and checking the source. Neither validation and verification can ensure accuracy. It is very difficult to ensure complete accuracy. There are computer methods to ensure verification - a check digit, for example, but if the original data is not accurate, the recieved data will not be accurate
