Stephen and Matilda 1139-1153

When the white ship disaster happened, Stephen of bois (Henrys nephew) managed to narrowly avoid getting on it thanks to a loo break.
Henrys daughter Matilda had married Geoffrey of Anjou (a place at loggerheads with Britain).
As soon as Henry died stephen rushed to London to claim the crown (despite all the barons having pleged to Henry that it would go to Matilda) in 1135.
- Stephen the set about gaining supporters in key positions which was not too hard as they were all warey of the woman married to a man from Anjou.
