  • This is a quick method of cooking (about 20 minutes) and therefore suitable for snack meals.
  • It causes fat in foods such as meat to melt and drain away, therefore the fat content of food is reduced and therefore it is a healthy cooking method.
  • Food that is grilled should be up to 3.5cm thick, for if it is any thicker, the heat will take too long to reach the centre of the food and the outside will be overcooked.
