Semi-conservative Replication

Meaning: semi (half), conservative (Or conserved, kept the same)

Process of DNA replication creates one new strand and conserves one old strand of the double helix:

1) Helix unzips and seperated into two strands, hydrogen bonds between the complementary bases are seperated by the enzyme DNA helicase (enzyme).
