D-Day - Operation Overlord

On the 6th of June 6,500 vessels landed over 130,000 men of five of Normandy's beaches, these beaches were code named: Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword. While this happened 12,000 air craft ensured air space security, they bombed German defences and provided cover.
