Evaluatiojn of the study G.R.A.V.E.

GENERALISABILITY - care needs to be taken when generalising this study as the sample size was small e.g. only a size of 24 p's doesent represent the wider target popullation. However the way memeory works in LOP should be the same for everyone so results can be generalised from this study to most other people.

RELIABILITY - this experiment was reliable because

  • The experiment used a standardiesd procedure e.g. words were displayed on a tachistoscope which meant the same timing font size wa used for every paerticipant
  • Also instructions and prcatice was given to the p's to avoid mistakes in the actual experiment.
