Ozone depletion is where the ozone in the upper atmosphere is broken down. This causes many probems, including;

• increased risk of skin cancer
• harmful UV rays can reach the earth's surface
• can kill plankton in the sea
• therefore, sea ecosystems can be disturbed
• fish levels will drop (because of lack of plankton)
