Racist victimisation occurs when individual selected as target b/c of race, ethnicity/religion - Macpherson Report made more visible.

Info on racist victimisation comes from victim surveys + police-recorded stats. Cover:
 - racist incidents
 - racially/religiously aggravated offences

Extent + risk of victimisation

Risk varies by ethnic group, maybe b/c of factors other than ethnicity eg age, gender etx.

Stats record instances of victimisation, don't capture victims' experiences.

Responses to victimisation

Minority ethnic community memebrs often active in responding to victimisation - eg situational crime prevention measures, organised self-defence campaigns etc. Responses need to be understood in context of under-protection by police.
