We can sort living things into groups with similar features . This is called classification.

• Vertebrates are animals with a backbone.  
• Invertebrates are animals without a backbone.

Vertebrates are classified into five groups. The groups are:

• Mammals
• Birds
• Reptiles
• Amphibians
• Fish.
