Steps

1. Proteases break down colour & insoluble protein (that cause stains) → smaller colourless soluble amino acids

2. Carbohydrase break down carbohydrates → glucose

3. Lipases break down fat → fatty acids and glycerol

4. Wash at lower temperatures

5. The enzymes do not work at higher temperatures as the enzymes will be denatured and not work because their structure is deformed and the substrate cannot work
