Microbes And Disease

Viruses are a type of mircobe.

Microbes that cause diseases are called pathogens.

Bacteria are just big enough to be seen through a light microscope.

Some have a flagellum that they use to move around.

Bacteria causes diseases such as tuberculosis, food poisoning, pneumonia and cholera.

Yeasts are single-celled organisms.

Viruses do not have a cell membrane or a nucleus.

Protozoa cause diseases such as malaria and sleeping sickness.
