Advantages

Saves time, effort and hassle. If you know exactly what you want then you can just quickly select items that you want.

You do not have to leave the house, you can do it from the comfort of your own home.

You can shop 24/7, the internet is open all the time whereas the shops are not

You do not have to pay travel costs, e.g petrol or public transport (although you do pay a delivery fee)

More eco-friendly because many deliveries in one lorry. So less pollution and less petrol used.

Benefits old/disabled people as they do not have to leave house or depend on other people, they can be more independant

Disadvantages

You cannot try before you buy, you do not know the product will be what you want or if it will fit before you buy it, if you have to send it back it is lots of hassle and you may have to pay (P&P) which is sometimes not refunded.

No social interaction with people, loss of social skills

You cannot see the products real quality, pictures could be misleading

You can’t compare/choose your products

It could get lost or you could be sent the wrong product
