Climate change is a long term change in the disruption of the weather patterns
over millions of years. Climate change may occur in one specific region, or
may occur across the whole world. This graph shows climate change over time
and the correlation between the amount of carbon dioxide and the overall
temperature. As the graph clearly shows the more carbon dioxide there is in
the atmosphere the higher the temperature this happens because of the
enhanced green house effect. Figure 1 supports the idea of Man-made climate
change. It supports the idea of man-made climate change because it shows a
correlation between the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (the red
line) and the average global temperature (the blue line). This correlation
suggests that a rise in carbon dioxide emissions due to human activity leads to

a rise in the average global temperature.…read more

The enhanced green house effect is one of the main
causes of climate change. The green house effect
is when a increase in green house gases such as
carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) heat up
the earth because they stop the solar radiation
from leaving the atmosphere and bounce it back
to earth instead of the solar radiation from
leaving the atmosphere because it bounces back
it heats up the atmosphere. (Figure 8). The green
house gases include carbon dioxide (CO2),
methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O),
trichlorofluoromethane (CFC-11),
Dichlorodifluoromethane (CFC-12) and many
more. Some scientists say that because we release
some of theses gases into the atmosphere we're
increasing the rate of climate change (man-
made). The green houses effect is one of the main
theories about what is causing climate change.
This could be causing our climate to change
because we have started to burn more and more
fossil flues, we have more factories, cars and as
our population increases we are farming more
there for we are releasing more methane because
we are farming more animals for meat and as a
result of this we are releasing more green house
gases. But the green house effect can be produced
naturally when water vapour reflects the suns
rays. The green house effect is essential and
without it life would not be able to survive on…read more

There are also a few natural causes of climate
change such as:
Sun spots
Volcanic activity

Sun spots:
Sunspots are black spots on the surface of the
sun (Figure 2) they increase the amount of
solar output because they are less active that
the rest of the suns surface so the rest of the
suns surface releases more energy. The more
sunspots the more solar output and therefore
the warmer the earth Figure (Figure
becomes. 3 3).

amount of
sunspots and

temperature.…read more

Volcanic activity:
Volcanic activity can effect the climate because
when a volcano erupts it releases ash into the
atmosphere this can effect the climate because
the ash can reflect some sun light therefore
reducing the average temperature.…read more
