Wind energy

Advantages

Renewable source so will bever run out
No waste gases or pollution
Wind is free
Domestic wind turbines can be relatively inexpensive and means everyone can do it their part, and excess electricity can be sold to energy companies
For one wind turbine not much space is needed and land underneath it can be used, for example, for agriculture.
No greenhouse gases are produced

Disadvantages

Wind is unreliable as not always constant
damaging to wild life (birds)
noisy and unsightly for people living nearby
low energy production, large amounts of land needed to generate useful amounts
Only certain locations are suitable for a wind farm as lots of wind is needed.
Expensive to maintain

Evaluation

Wind farms cost a lot to set up and to maintain, and are also unreliable in energy production.Despite this they are non polluting and are a sustainable source of power.
