  • Desdemona's most important relationship is with Othello, in the play. Their love for each other is very clear throughout, and Desdemona is completely devoted to him. • Before Desdemona speaks in the play, she is talked about frequently, when concerning the relationship between her and Othello. She is described as being fair and perfect and innocent
  • When her father is talking about Desdemona and her relationship, he often reffers to her with words suggesting that she is owned, and can be easily manipulated, as if she doesn't have a mind of her own, and is an object. He extends his point by saying that the only way she could love Othello is by magic and witchcraft.
