Marketisation

Advantages

  • Creates competition between schools
  • Schools are trying harder to push and encourage student

Disadvantages

  • Schools which havent got the best grades on league tables have under subscription
  • Schools which are doing well on the league table are over subscribed too

Evaluation

Overall I believe marketisation is effective. By schools pushing students to get better results it had lead to students beliveing they can do well, which is called the self fulfilling prophecy. However it has created a problem that some schools have over subscritption and others have a lower than average amount of pupils.
