Lenin's Economy

?

Lenin's Economy

Advantages

  • He identified the needs of the people and adapted
  • Whilst some of the plans weren't hugely great, it showed his ability to adapt to a crisis and have something produced
  • His plans had evident success with the people and proved popular as people had freedom with their crops and selling them
  • Even though he was Communist, he implemented elements of capitalism which helped the people considerably. Since he put the needs of the people and economy first, there's an arguab;y chance we would have developed something down the line that was more marxist

Disadvantages

  • They weren't fully communist as they had elements of capitalism in them
  • Scissors Crisis
  • Caused a split in the party

Evaluation

In short, Lenin's economy can be summarised as adaptive and he looked out for his people when they were clearly struggling. He changed when there were obvious issues or changes in the world. It differs very strongly to Stalin's economy and ideals.
