Advantages
- When having a video conference it saves times and travel.
- Emails are sent electronically, so it saves paper and space.
- Digital products means less energy is being used to produce physical products.
- Technology systems including sensors analyse data from products such as kettles and cars to enable manufacturers to design more sustainable products.

Disadvantages
- If computers are left turned on overnight, it would be bad for the planet.
- Manufacturing computers use natural resources and electricity.
- Disposing computers creates landfill and can release dangerous chemicals.
- They can produce waste heat which needs electricity to cool e.g. air conditioning needs to be running constantly.
