Independent schools are proven to get better overall results this is due to funding and they have kids who come from a higher social class therefore they have: an elaborate speech code, deffered gratification and cultural capital ( in most cases). They are not restricted by things such as material deprivation which will effect students attainment. However they have a negative impact on society. They create social division between the classes.
