• God exists through time but has no beginning and no end
  • Can be thought of as alive and active: lives are a series of events and events must occur in time
  • God exists within His creation and is immanent
  • He can also be seen as a personal, responsive and benevolent God

  • But if God is active and responsive in time then He changes and is not immutable
  • Perfection does not allow for change - a supremely perfect being could not lose or gain anything through experience but change is a consequence of experience

The view that God is everlasting potentially clashes with omniscience and omnipotenceIf He exists in time how can He know the future? (omniscient)If God exists in time how could He also be the Creator of everything? (omnipotent)
