	Evaluate Taylor's theory.

	Evaluation FREDERICK WINSLOW TAYLOR (1856-1915) - method now called method study + work measurement, he said jobs should be broken down so employees could specialise + equipment could be invented to speed up work. The concept of division of labour came from this. Said that workers motivated primarily by money + advocated penalties for those who did not meet set targets. Taylor felt each job had 'planning' element + 'doing' element. His main principles were: measurement of the job, division of labour, monitoring of work + control workforce through punishment + reward.
