Overall summaryThe reds won the war for a number of reasons; -They were united under one common goal unlike the whites -The Reds occupied important parts of the country: cities <This lead to communication and transport being easy for the reds but difficult for the whites -Lenin and Trotsky were good leaders whereas Wrangel, Yudenich and Denikin were poor leaders and they didn't trust each other. -Reds also used the CHEKA to keep control and they used propaganda against the whites. -Whites treated both the peasants and their soliders badly so the Whites suffered from low moral and desertion -The Reds used war communism to keep control of their economy. |
