Advantages
- "Eco-Town"- focused on Environmental Sustainability, charging points for electric cars, renewable energy
- Only 32% used for housing- large area of green space for leisure activities- more ENVIRONMENTALLY sustainable.
- 15,000 homes built, 4,500 starter homes- good for first time buyers/young people/people who haven't yet got onto the property ladder
- 14,000 new jobs- people who move to the area can take the jobs, not only the people living there but also people in other villages and settlements such as Little Stretton and Stoughton.
- Footpaths and cycle paths- move away from domination of the car as a mean of transport- environmentally and socially sustainble, reduce carbon emissions and congestion
- Services (leisure, schools, shops, health facilities) will attract people to the area

Disadvantages
- Flying club will have to be relocated, may upset the members of the club who may have to travel further to get to the Airport
- The area may become overpopulated if there are lots of people moving in
- Services may become overwhelmed if there are too many people using them
- Congestion on the Gartree Road if more people moved in because it is the main road going through this area
- Existing residents of local villages may be disturbed (residents in Stoughton) by construction work
