Advantages

  • Quicker than physical post
  • Available 24/7
  • Webmail - emails can be sent/received from any computer all around the world as long as there is internet
  • Cheap - on broadband email is free. For others only takes a few seconds so local rates are cheap
  • Can be sent to multiple people at once

Disadvantages

  • The receiver needs an internet connection to receive
  • Viruses are easily spread in attachments - however most providers now scan
  • Phishing - user falsely claims to be legit company to scam receiver - claim personal/bank details (used for identity theft)
  • No guarantee that receiver will read the email straight away
  • Spam and junk mail

Strangely, I've never had this problem on Outlook, but I'll keep this solution just in case. By the way, question, does anyone know how I can convert EML to PCT? Is there any software for this or can I do it online?

You can easily do it on EMLtoPST.com, there are all the instructions, so you can easily use their eml to pst converter, and convert your letters without any problems. Let me know how you feel afterwards! Because I want to recommend this program to someone else.
