Advantages
- chlorine kills of microbes making water safe to drink
- fluoride is good for teeth and bones

Disadvantages
- chlorine can still leave a nasty taste and is poisonous to humans
- links have been made between cancer and fluoride
- too much fluoride can cause bone problems
- links have also been made between cancer and some types of cancers as chlorine can react with other substances to produce toxic by products which are believed by soem to cause some cancer
- The question of is it right to mass medicate people with no consent?
