- What happened when Spain sent the Spanish Armada?
- Henry VIII made a powerful navy as it was becoming more important but Philip 2nd of Spain spared no expense in creating a massive navy.
- Many 'privateers' would steal Spanish supplies, making their efforts more difficult. This is arguably dishonorable and unfair but it certainly helped.
