      • NAACP got nine students to enter what was a previously all white school to test the ruling made after Brown vs Board of Education
        • Despite the fact that the desegregation was slow, it did eventually happen in schools. Though this event was a wakeup call that maybe the court cases of the NAACP were not enough
    • Mississippi freedom summer 1964
      • Alongside SNCC and CORE, the NAACP helped to set up freedom schools to educate would-be voters.
        • Helped the next civil rights act, developed new grass route leaders and got a lot of publicity.
    • Greensboro Sit-ins 1960
      • The younger generations of the NAACP got involved heavily in the Greensboro sit-ins
    • March on Washington 1963
      • Aimed to integrate jobs, and get the next civil right movement through. Was very successful as it showed that all of the leaders could work together peacefully as well as getting 1141 southern schools integrated and 300 cites to integrate public transport
