- Importance of God as creator (Karta Purakh) ? Although Sikhs believe God created everything, there are no creation stories in Sikhism ? God the creator ? Sikhs believe God created the world, this universe & any other universe & sustained them ? God is separate from the universe ? God is beyond human understanding & does not have a physical form (nirgun). He has no limits & is therefore different from creation ? God is shown in & though the universe ? every part of the universe reveals God. God created the universe so is interested in it & directs it, therefore his creative powers are always present
