- The 21st CENTURY is the 'CHINESE CENTURY'
- Supposedly the 20th Century was the 'US CENTURY'
- This was because during the 1970s there were MARKET REFORMS in China
- E.g. 30 years- CHINA has a GROWTH RATE between 8-10% which OVERTOOK JAPAN
- By 2010 China was the WORLD'S 2ND LARGEST ECONOMY
- 2009- It was the WORLD'S LARGEST EXPORTER
- 2ND LARGEST MILITARY- due to security threats & a higher income
- Had a BIG ROLE in the WTO & G2-
- This means China had MORE INFLUENCE over COLLECTIVE DILEMMAS
- Even now they do- they are in the P-5
- This means China had MORE INFLUENCE over COLLECTIVE DILEMMAS
- This has meant that other nations have now been EAGER to TRADE with CHINA-especially since Brexit
- The 21st CENTURY is the 'CHINESE CENTURY'
