- Static electricity
- -Electrons have a negative charge
- When two insulating materials are rubbed together electrons will be scraped off and go onto the other - this leaves a positive static charge on the other due to an excess of electrons.
- Both +'ive and -'ive electrostatic charges are only ever produced by the movement of electrons
- The positive charges NEVER move - A positive charge is always caused by electrons moving else where
- -Electrons have a negative charge
- Charge in circuits
- Current is the flow of an electrical charge around a circuit - basically the flow of electrons
- Voltage is the driving force that pushes the current round the circuit
- Resistance is anything in a circuit which slows the flow down
- if you increase the voltage then more current will flow. If you increase the resistance then less current will flow.
