      • High tensile strength - open dramatic poses are possible

      • CAST - can't be changed later

      • Very heavy - important
      • Low tensile strength - closed pose
      • Expensive
      • Reductive - look for block
    • Wood
      • Brown - earthy, natural, can be painted
      • Lighter - more flexible
      • Can support voids, restricted by shape of the block
      • Cheap, available anywhere
      • Laminated or solid - restricted by the shape of the block
