- 1 fatty acid = monoglyceride 2 fatty acids = diglyceride

- 2 fatty acids + 1 phosphate group + 1 glycerol
- Phosphate = hydrophillic
- Fatty acid = hydrophobic
- 2 fatty acids + 1 phosphate group + 1 glycerol
