- Morality stems from social custom and moral judgments - thee are true or false, relative to the framework of the communitty
- Conceptions of morality should be based on how people behave - not how society expects them to behave
- Moral diversity is explained by the fact that moral beliefs are the product of different ways of life and are matters of opinion that vary from culture to culture
- Moral values are grounded in social custom
