Punishment Cells:  Plank dark room, hand only let lose for food and bed but Suffragettes refused bed.- Intensley painful in physically and mentally.

Suffragettes tactics- "Illegal" activities, megaphones, extreme danger and chaining themselves to rails of Buckingham Palace.

Suffragists- Peaceful, Consitutional, Moderate, Calendars, Leaflets, Posters+ Public Meetings

The two groups who wanted women's right in voting were the Suffragettes- lead by Emmeline Pankhurst and her daughters and the Suffragists- lead by Millicent Fawcett.

They did "illegal activites." They were tied to a wooden plank in a dark room, only allowed to bring their hand out for eating and sleeping which they refused. They were forced to drink brandy and milk and receive a 2 yard nasal tube inerted.

Extreme risky, dangerous stuff. This included chaining themselves to the rails of Buckingham Palace. They used megaphones to disrupt liberal meetings.
