1. Leon has a job as a lorry driver. He has been caught drink driving and has lost his licence. He says he will work as a labourer loading the lorries but his employer dismisses him. (11, 4)

2. Keria has a job as a secretery and she tells her employer that she is pregnant. Keria's boss dismisses her. (13, 6)
3. Philip has a job as a solicitor. His hobby is going to football matches and getting into fights. His boss tells Philip he is bad for the solicitor's firm and Philip loses his job. (11, 4)
4. Ameer is a footballer and he is suffering from cancer. He has to miss three months for medical treatment and when he returns, the club says he is being transferred. (11, 4)
5. Ariadne is a waitress. She drops plates on a regular basis and several customers have complained that she added up their bills incorrectly. Her boss dismisses her. (11, 4)
6. Bertie is married to Jolinda. Jolinda has given birth to twins and one of the babies is very sick. Bertie wants to take his parental leave entitlement but his boss says that if he takes times off, he will lose his job. (13, 6)
