he replaceed the currency with a new one called the Rentenmark and inflation was brought quickly under control. However many Germans could not forget how hyperinflation affected them and how they lost their savings.

This gave Germany longer to pay off its reparations and brought in more US loans. The gov. used this moeny to build new infrastructure.

This meant that Germany became more involved in major international decisions. However, some Germans thought that hr had not done enough and should have won back the land lost with the Treaty.
