Clues
- A permanent feature of society eg. social class structure (6, 10)
- A source of qualitative, secondary data. This can include diary entries, suicide notes, letters. (8, 9)
- Formal social control is the official side of the process, represented by the police, prisons and judges, formal sanctions include being arrested and being sent to prison. (6, 6, 7)
- Happens within the family home. (7, 13)
- Numerical data collected by the government and made available to the public. (8, 10)
- Refers to questions where participant can expand upon their answer. (4, 5, 9)
- Refers to research which uses a sample which bears an accurate resemblance to the people in the population. (18)
- Selecting every nth name from the sampling frame. (10, 8)
- Similar to systematic, but the sampling frame is broken down into social groups. (10, 8)
- You make use of the people you know and grab people to interview when you have the opportunity. (11, 8)
