Corporal punishment
Physical punishment e.g. whipping

Death penalty
Known as capital punishment, illegal in Britain

Fines
Financial punishment

Mental health orders
Granted if the crime is due to mental illness

Prison sentencing
A loss of freedom for a set amount of time
