What is the Nature- Nurture Debate?
The argument of which your personal characteristics and psycological traits are thought of as appearing either through genetics or nurture (learnt behaviours) Everyone has the same structural build when they are bron, but nurture shapes us.

the first stage in learning about culture. typically through 0-3 years through parents/carers.

this is the second stage of socialisation and it includes contact with other institutions and individuals

Where both Mum and Dad are married and they have the average of 1.7 biological children

Why are there more diverse family forms in modernity?
Because it is more socially acceptable. Media is more powerful now and religion less so.

The family only has 2 functions which are; The socialisation of childrena and The stablisation of adult personalities

All mothers put great effort into the physical care of their children. Middle-class mothers were really confident and involved in speacking with teachers but the working-class mothers lacked confidece and the time to do this. (ELABORATE CODE)

Parents used to focus on being a good parent by caring and stimulating their child. Parents are now focused on protecting their child from harm, and this is unhealthy. "BUBBLE WRAP CHILDREN"
