How to open the bonnet
Use catch on driver or passenger's side, open a little bit, put the engine stay in to hold it up

How do you check screen wash levels?
Cap with drawing of window on it, fill it so you know it is full or squirt window from inside

How do you check oil level?
Pull dipstick out, wipe clean, dip back in, pull out again, check oil is between min and max markings. If too low, a little bit at a time checking with dipstick as you add oil

Clear bottle, check fluid reaches minimum mark, DO NOT CHECK WHEN HOT- burns

Clear bottle- check level is between min and max mark

Push up a little bit, take stay away, pull down until about 20cm from closing, let it drop, check it is secure

Turn lights on, walk around vehicle- check headlights, side lights at the front and side lights at the back

Lights on, then turn fog lights on. Used if visibility is less than 100m- turn off when it gets better

Turn lights on, press stalk away, check blue symbol on dashboard, turn off

When engine is off, steering feels heavy. Start the engine, little bit of pressure on steering wheel- steering should feel light. If not working, would stay heavy.

Foot on footbrake, take handbrake off, put handbrake back on, take foot off of brake pedal. Pull handbrake up one more click- shows it is not worn

Turn ignition on, ABS light should come on and then go off after a few seconds

Turn heat and fan up to max, turn directional to front window, press button to clear back window

Check grooves in central 3/4 of tyres all the way around, should be 1.6mm deep. Blocks in tyres show when tread is nearly at min level. Check side of tyre for cuts, bulges, or other damage

Info is in vehicle handbook, use reliable pressure gauge when tyres are cold, remember to replace valve caps when finished
