Gives a sense of unity. Helps people who find prayer difficult. Helps develop a community spirit. If a community pray for you it can give you great comfort in times of distress

Helps develop a relationship with God. Allows individuals to express themselves . Helps develop individual spiritually. Can be specifically related to important issues you are facing

Invite the presence of God. Create a worshipful atmosphere e.g. Quiet music during Eucharist. As a way of learning about God through the words of the song e.g. Abide with me. Joyful praise and thanksgiving. Unity with other believers. Quakers don't.
